Neighborhood Revitialization Program

Are you planning a construction project in Kearny County?

Would you like to save on property taxes?*

If so, the Kearny County Commissioners are happy to announce revisions in the popular Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP). Many of the construction projects and improvements you have seen recently in Lakin, Deerfield and around Kearny County have taken advantage of the NRP program.

What is the Kearny County Neighborhood Revitalization Program?

Simply put, it allows anyone planning new construction projects, renovations or improvements to save  on property taxes over 6 years following the completion of the project.

NOTE: To qualify for the property tax rebate
you must apply BEFORE construction starts!

If you are planning any construction, or would like to improve a residential, business or agricultural property, then the NRP program can save you a bundle in property taxes. The NRP program is available and will be considered for all of the following situations:

  1. New construction projects on empty lots.
  2. All construction projects including building additions, remodeling, renovations and improvements to existing properties.
  3. New agricultural construction projects including building additions or improvements to existing properties.

The application is simple and you
can get approval in about 2 weeks.

In order to qualify for the rebate program, you must apply and get approval before you begin improvements! Contact the Community Development Department at 620-355-7358 or email at kecodev@pld.com
