Senior Center

The Kearny County Senior Center provides services and activities for seniors so they may enjoy friends, stay active, maintain independence and most importantly, have fun!

The Senior Center plans and coordinates many programs, classes and trips. The center also provides transportation services and other types of assistance for older and special-need residents. Please call us today to inquire.

Senior Lunch every Wednesday – Join your friends at Noon for food and fun or get an order to go for dinner. Great food and just $4.00 per plate!

Some of the classes we offer include Yoga, PATH Exercise, Essential Oils, Basic Computer, Painting and many others depending on interest and requests.

Daytrips are organized for seniors and have included arrowhead hunting in Campo Colorado, Dorothy’s House in Liberal, Boothill Casino in Dodge City, Bents Fort, Fort Larned and many, many more.

The center also organizes a fun-filled week-long trip every year. For example, our seniors have enjoyed trips to Palo Duro Canyon and Branson, MO! You never know where we’ll go next!

Our board, the Kearny County Council on Aging, works closely with our staff on day to day operations and advises us on our senior’s interests and ideas. It works out very well for everyone and our senior’s have a lot of fun. Current members include:

The Kearny County Senior Center is also available to be rented out by any of our seniors who would like to use the facility for large celebrations, parties, game nights and any other type of event. The center currently hosts many organizations including the Golden Agers and the Prairie Wind Quilters. Use of the building is free, but donations are welcome to expand and improve our programs and services. There is a $75 refundable deposit required.We also have a full service office with copy, fax, computer, and other office services we can help you with.
