The 2018 Kearny County Fair will be July 16-19, 2018

The Kearny County Fair Board encourages you to make plans to exibit and attend the 2018 fair! Details below are tentative and will be updated as they are confirmed. Fair Books will be printed later and dates will be confirmed at that time

Sunday July 15, 2018

  • 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Exhibit Building open for construction of Educational and Commercial Booths. •

Monday July 16, 2018

  • 8:00 – noon Check in all 4-H, Livestock check in.
  • 2:00-6:00 p.m. FFA, Scouts, and Open Class fair exhibits.
  • 10:30 a.m. 4-H Concession Stand opens
  • 6:00 p.m. Hamburger Meal
  • 7:00 p.m. Kearny County Princess Contest
  • 8:00 Public Fashion Revue
  • 9:30 p.m. Buildings Close

Tuesday July 17, 2018

  • 9:00 a.m. Begin Judging all 4-H, FFA, Scouts, and Open Class Indoor Exhibits
  • 12:00 Noon 4-H Concession Stand Special Meal
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Bingo – Sponsored by the Senior Center
  • 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Carnival/Game Night
  • 6:00 p.m. Concessions Stand Dinner Special
  • 6:30 p.m. Turtle Races Sponsored by Chantilly 4-H Club, Show Arena
  • 9:30 p.m. Buildings Close

Wednesday July 18, 2018

  • • 8:00 a.m. Swine, Sheep and Bucket Calf Livestock Show
  • 12:00 Noon 4-H Concession Stand Special Meal
  • 1:00 p.m. Beef/Dairy, Goat Show 30 minutes AFTER Last Dairy  Class
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Bingo – Sponsored by the Senior Center
  • 5:00 p.m. Registration for the Kiddie Tractor Pull
  • 5:30 p.m. Kiddie Tractor Pull Sponsored by Kearny County Farm Bureau
  • 6:00 p.m. Kearny County Fair Board Scholarship Fish Fry
  • 6:00-9:00 p.m. Antique Tractor Pull
  • 7:30 p.m. McClain’s Muttin Bustin, Livestock Arena.
  • 9:30 p.m. Buildings close.

Thursday July 19, 2018

  • 8:30 a.m. Senior Round Robin Showmanship Contest Junior Round Robin Showmanship Contest
  • 12:00 Noon 4-H Concession Stand Special Meal
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Bingo – Sponsored by the Senior Center
  • 3:00 p.m. Pet Show
  • 4:00 p.m. Hotshot Basketball Shooting Contest Finals
  • 6:00 p.m. Free BBQ Featuring W ebb’s Food Crew and BBQ
  • 7:30 p.m. 4-H and FFA Livestock Sale
  • 8:30 p.m. Check-Out and Fairgrounds Clean-up. All entries released. Unclaimed exhibits can be picked up at the Extension Office on Monday. Premium Checks will be at the Extension Office one week following the Fair.
